Privacy Policy for TimeTox
Last Updated: May 29, 2026
TimeTox helps you pause before opening distracting apps, review your own usage patterns, and keep focus sessions private. This policy explains what information TimeTox handles and how it is protected.
1. Information TimeTox Handles
- Screen Time selections: When you grant Screen Time permission, iOS lets you select apps or categories to manage. TimeTox stores the selected tokens locally so it can apply shields and focus rules.
- Focus and pause state: TimeTox may store local records such as pause completions, temporary unlock windows, Live Activity countdown state, and widget summary state.
- Subscription status: If you subscribe to TimeTox Pro, Apple processes the purchase. TimeTox receives StoreKit entitlement status so premium features can be unlocked.
- Support messages: If you contact support, we receive the email address and information you choose to include.
2. Information We Do Not Collect
- TimeTox does not collect the contents of your messages, websites, photos, or other app data.
- TimeTox does not sell personal information.
- TimeTox does not use third-party advertising trackers.
- TimeTox does not require an account for the core on-device focus flow.
3. How Information Is Used
- To request and manage Screen Time authorization.
- To apply shields to selected apps or categories.
- To run the 10-second pause flow and temporary unlock window.
- To update widgets, Live Activities, and local focus summaries.
- To validate subscription access through Apple StoreKit.
- To respond to support requests.
4. Where Information Is Stored
TimeTox is designed around on-device storage. Screen Time selections, pause history, widget state, and unlock state are stored on your device, including the app's private storage and shared App Group storage used by TimeTox extensions. Apple may process purchase and subscription information according to Apple's own policies.
5. Sharing
We do not sell or rent TimeTox data. We may share limited information only when needed to operate the app, comply with law, process App Store purchases through Apple, or respond to a request you send us.
6. Children
TimeTox is a productivity and focus tool. It is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
7. Your Choices
- You can revoke Screen Time permission in iOS Settings.
