Terms of Use for Read Water

These Terms of Use ("Terms") govern your use of Read Water, a fishing companion app for water reading, private spot review, catch logging, and optional AI-assisted fishing insights. By using the app, you agree to these Terms.
1. Service Description
Read Water helps anglers observe water conditions, record fishing outcomes, review private fishing spots, and receive suggestions about likely holding water or fishing patterns. The app is an aid for planning and reflection, not a guarantee of catch results.
2. Outdoor Safety and Fishing Responsibility
Important: Read Water does not replace your judgment, local regulations, weather alerts, boating rules, water safety practices, or professional outdoor guidance. Conditions can change quickly. You are responsible for fishing legally and safely.
3. AI and Water Reading Disclaimer
- AI and rule-based readings are informational estimates based on the data available to the app.
- Suggestions about fish location, fish type, current seams, structure, or lure approach may be incomplete or incorrect.
- You should verify local species rules, seasons, size limits, access permissions, and safety conditions before acting.
4. Subscriptions
Read Water may offer auto-renewable subscriptions, including Read Water Pro Monthly and Read Water Pro Yearly.
- Billing: Payment is charged to your Apple ID account after purchase confirmation.
- Renewal: Subscriptions automatically renew unless canceled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period.
- Management: You can manage or cancel subscriptions in your Apple ID account settings.
- Price and period: The subscription title, duration, price, and any trial or offer terms are shown in the app's purchase flow before purchase.
- Refunds: Refund requests are handled under Apple App Store policy.
Apple's standard End User License Agreement may also apply where required: Apple Standard EULA.
5. User Content
You are responsible for the fishing records, notes, photos, videos, locations, and other content you enter or import. You agree not to upload unlawful, harmful, or infringing content.
6. Privacy
Your use of Read Water is also governed by our Privacy Policy, which explains how information is collected and used.
7. Intellectual Property
The app, interface, visual design, software, text, and related materials are owned by us or our licensors. You may not copy, modify, reverse engineer, or redistribute the app except as permitted by law.
8. No Warranty
Read Water is provided "as is" and "as available." We do not warrant that the app will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that fishing suggestions will produce a particular result.
9. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including loss of data, lost profits, personal injury, property loss, or decisions made based on app suggestions.
10. Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. Continued use of the app after changes means you accept the updated Terms.
